Printing a Portion of a Worksheet

Summary: Need to print a portion of a worksheet, but don't want to waste paper by printing the whole thing? It's easy to print just the selection you make by following these steps. (This tip works with Microsoft Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002, Excel 2003, and Excel 2007.)

It is a safe bet that you already know how to print a worksheet. What you may not know is how you can quickly print just a portion of a worksheet. You can accomplish this by following these steps:

Select the cell range you want to print.
Display the Print dialog box. (Click here to see a related figure.) The easiest way to do this is to just press Ctrl+P.
In the Print What box, choose the Selection option.
Click on the OK button.
