Summary: When you no longer need a particular style in Excel, follow this tip to delete them. (This tip works with Microsoft Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002, and Excel 2003.)
After you have been working with a workbook for some time, you might reach a point where you want to delete some styles. Typically these are styles that you no longer need, based on changes in your workbook over time. Deleting styles is easy to do by following these steps:
You should note that you can delete any styles you desire except the Normal style. This is the default formatting style used by Excel.
