Changing Page Margins

Summary: Using Page Setup to change the margins of your Excel worksheet. (This tip works with Microsoft Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002, and Excel 2003.)

When you first start Excel, certain assumptions are made about your page layout. One of these assumptions has to do with your page margins. You can change your page margins at any time by following these steps:

  1. Choose the Page Setup option from the File menu. You will see the Page Setup dialog box.
  2. Make sure the Margins tab is selected. (Click here to see a related figure.)
  3. Adjust the top, bottom, left, and right margins as desired.
  4. Click on OK.
